According to the 2010 Census, of the 308.7 million people resided in
the United States, 50.5 million (or 16 percent) were of Hispanic or Latino. And
between 2000 and 2010 the Hispanic population grew by 43 percent, which was more
than four times the growth in the total population.
These numbers mean that marketers can’t ignore Hispanics in their
efforts without leaving out a sizable portion of their potential consumer base.
The census projects that by 2020, one in five will be Latino. But you don’t
have to wait that long to feel the impact of these demographics. In Texas alone, for example, already one in
three people are Latino.
At LunaNova Marketing we have extensive experience helping our clients
reach Hispanics, from Spanish-Dominant to acculturated or hip biculturals. We
can help you navigate the cultural divide to achieve higher sales and success with
this target.
